Title: Living with a SEAL Pdf 31 Days Training with the Toughest Man on the Planet

Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler will try almost anything. He brazenly pretended to be an established hip-hop artist to secure a meeting with a studio head - and it led to a record deal. He convinced a bunch successful business executives to invest in an unprecedented business plan - and it turned into Marquis Jet. He sincerely offered to run a 100-mile race in Spanx to get the attention of the beautiful founder of the company - and ended up marrying her.

His life is about being bold and risky. And it's brought him plenty of rewards.

So when Jesse felt himself drifting on autopilot, he hired a rather unconventional trainer to live with him for a month - an accomplished Navy SEAL widely considered to be "the toughest man on the planet"!

Living with a SEAL is like a buddy movie if it starred the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...and Rambo. Jesse is about as easy-oing as you can get. SEAL is...not. He even shows up at Jesse's apartment with an inflatable raft just in case the Itzler family ever has to escape Manhattan by crossing the Hudson River.

Jesse and SEAL's escapades soon produce a great friendship, and by the time SEAL leaves, Jesse is in the best shape of his life, but he gains much more than muscle. At turns hilarious and inspiring, Living with a SEAL ultimately shows you the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone.

Super motivating, fun read. I give it out as gifts too. I loved this book! Read it in less than 2 days then bought a copy for my brother-in-law. I've read my fair share of self-help, improve yourself books... but this one got me to take action. Seriously... around chapter 4 I put the book down and went for a 4 mile run. That may not seem like a big deal, but I hadn't been out for a run in well over a year!My take away from the book - "What you think you're capable of is actually only about 40% of what you are truly capable of" (paraphrasing).best motivational/selfhelp book out there period. Reading this is like living with the most motivational human alive. No self help book out there has done for me what this book has given me. There is no preaching, and no self-help talk. NONE. There is a "just do it" attitude and they sure do it amids blood, sweat, freezing temperatures, lack of sleep, hectic schedule, anywhere and everywhere. No if or buts, "Motherf..." lol. I had to add that in. The guy curses like a sailor, but it's very fitting given the extreme lengths they go.. In the end even the author ends up talking like a sailor. Fun and incredibly inspiring. HIghly recommended.Mediocre, exaggerated writing After reading David Goggins' book (the SEAL who is talked about in this book), this book is very irritating. Calling David Goggins' "SEAL" for the whole story is frustrating. Also, after reading David Goggins' book and listening to him speak on podcasts, some of the things the author quotes him saying and doing are absolutely not Goggins' style, which leads to me believe an ample amount of artistic license was used here. It was great to read about the author's insane fitness experiment though. It would have been just and cool without the exaggeration.

A broken vase isn’t all this maid owed her masters.

Piper needed a job. Any job would do. But when the temp agency assigns her to clean the house of a bunch of snobby rich men, she isn’t sure it's worth it.

Stuck in a job she has no choice but to keep, Piper becomes even more indebted to her employers when she breaks a priceless vase.

However, her clumsiness is the least of Piper’s troubles. Her mysterious and dangerously tempting employers have a secret. One that they are willing to kill to keep. Will she be able to save her job? Let alone live through it?

Previously a novella of 15k in the Realms and Rebels box set, now lengthened to a full length novel.

Wow!! Erin Bedford did a fantastic job!I really enjoyed this book. Not your typical vampire romance story. Piper needed a job and was willing to take any job. When the temp agency assigns her to clean the house of a bunch of rich men, she wasn't quite sure if it was really worth it. When she breaks a expensive and priceless job, she doesn't have a choice but keep it. There's definitely an attraction between Piper and the Durand brothers. I love the twist to this movie and Piper's sass is absolutely fantastic!A definite must read! The story line is fantastic, I love the characters, the multiple POV of all the characters and what a great cliff hanger! You have to read the story! No spoilers in this review! :DI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Fun/funny vampire story Let me begin by saying that Vampire stories are not my favorite genre, though I have found several that I've enjoyed. I decided to read Indebted to the Vampire because I am a fan of Erin Bedford's books.I truly enjoyed reading this. The sarcasm, temper tantrums and snark were truly delightful. The characters were interesting and seems obvious that they will be further developed in future books. I am certainly looking forward to the next book!Ends on a Cliffhanger As far as cliffhangers go this isn’t the worst but it was still annoying. The story has promise, but all the little things that irritated me and then to have a cliffhanger on top just really brought down the rating for me. It says this is a full novel, but there are several questions that don’t get answered in this book that should’ve been to tie up the book better. Yes, there would still be some unanswered questions, but they are part of the overall story arc and weren’t pertinent to resolving this book.I’m not revealing the questions because they somewhat reveal spoilers and this is a worthy read even if the MC is so very frustrating at times (and part of the frustration stems from certain questions not being answered). Then there is her raging sex drive. It could rival a teenage boy in the throws of puberty finding masturbation for the first time. I get sexual attraction, I get masturbation, I get wet dreams even, but this level is something I cannot relate to at all and it becomes frustrating when the only thing on her mind seems to be screwing these guys anytime she gets the chance, except when they make her angry.

“A story both powerful and enchanting: a don’t-miss novel in the greatest southern traditions of storytelling.” —Patti Callahan Henry, New York Times bestselling author

When her grandmother’s will wrenches Sara back home, she learns more about Margaret Van Buren in the wake of her death than she ever knew in life.

After her last remaining family member dies, Sara Jenkins goes home to The Hideaway, her grandmother Mags’s ramshackle B&B in Sweet Bay, Alabama. She intends to quickly tie up loose ends then return to her busy life and thriving antique shop in New Orleans. Instead, she learns Mags has willed The Hideaway to her and charged her with renovating it—no small task considering her grandmother’s best friends, a motley crew of senior citizens, still live there.

Rather than hurrying back to New Orleans, Sara stays in Sweet Bay and begins the biggest house-rehabbing project of her career. Amid drywall dust, old memories, and a charming contractor, she discovers that slipping back into life at The Hideaway is easier than she expected.

Then she discovers a box Mags left in the attic with clues to a life Sara never imagined for her grandmother. With help from Mags’s friends, Sara begins to piece together the mysterious life of bravery, passion, and choices that changed her grandmother’s destiny in both marvelous and devastating ways.

When an opportunistic land developer threatens to seize The Hideaway, Sara is forced to make a choice—stay in Sweet Bay and fight for the house and the people she’s grown to love or leave again and return to her successful but solitary life in New Orleans.

“Two endearing heroines and their poignant storylines of love lost and found make this the perfect book for an afternoon on the back porch with a glass of sweet tea.” —Karen White, New York Times bestselling author

A Real Full Length Novel of Excellence Amazon always wants to know why the 5-star rating! Here are several good reasons: 1st ...there are no grammatical errors or typos. I know that sounds odd to mention, but I read copious numbers of books each year. Many of them are not edited well and there are enough errors to be distracting....not this book! Thank you for such careful editing. 2nd: a very well-developed storyline. The plot and the idea are always clear and very interesting to follow...enjoyable because there is no "muddy" part...all fits together to create a beautiful story that actually made me the reader, feel invested in the outcome . 3rd: character development is superb. Each person is so vivid and fits into the story perfectly. I loved this book because it is a real novel...not a simple book that is weak and short. This is your first book Lauren? Wow! You have what it takes. This as good as it gets....at least by my definition. Thank you for giving me a wonderful few hours to be lost in the pleasure of an excellent read.Great Story! I loved, loved, loved this book. The story that's told is kind of unique and tells how a woman runs away from a bad marriage in a time when society thought a woman should quietly stay in her place while her husband cheated. The story unfolds as Sara Jenkins (a successful shop owner in the French Quarter of New Orleans) receives notice her grandmother "Mags" has passed away, leaving her a ramshackled B&B (The Hideaway) in Sweet Bay, Alabama. Raised by Mags after the death of her parents, Sara, feels an obligation to go back to the old place, but has no intention of keeping it.One of the conditions of the will is that Sara return the old house to its original glory. Part hippie, part eccentric beach bum, Mags was never what could be considered an conventional grandmother and some of the outrageous outfits and hats she wore embarrassed Sara as a child ... that's the reason she left. So, in Sara's mind, it's only a case of taking care of whatever needs to be done before putting the old relic on the market to be sold. However, once she arrives, she realizes there's a lot more to the house than she remembered or ever imagined. When she discovers a hidden box that belonged to her grandmother, Sara goes on a journey she never imagined undertaking as she learns the real story of her grandmother and what she was running from.I couldn't help but be caught up in Mag's story and appreciate how brave she was to set out on her own. This is a very moving story and sad in places. I highly recommend it.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, this novel about a resilient and courageous woman has become a Broadway show and a cultural phenomenon.

A PBS Great American Read Top 100 Pick

Celie has grown up poor in rural Georgia, despised by the society around her and abused by her own family. She strives to protect her sister, Nettie, from a similar fate, and while Nettie escapes to a new life as a missionary in Africa, Celie is left behind without her best friend and confidante, married off to an older suitor, and sentenced to a life alone with a harsh and brutal husband.

In an attempt to transcend a life that often seems too much to bear, Celie begins writing letters directly to God. The letters, spanning twenty years, record a journey of self-discovery and empowerment guided by the light of a few strong women. She meets Shug Avery, her husband’s mistress and a jazz singer with a zest for life, and her stepson’s wife, Sophia, who challenges her to fight for independence. And though the many letters from Celie’s sister are hidden by her husband, Nettie’s unwavering support will prove to be the most breathtaking of all.

The Color Purple has sold more than five million copies, inspired an Academy Award–nominated film starring Oprah Winfrey and directed by Steven Spielberg, and been adapted into a Tony-nominated Broadway musical. Lauded as a literary masterpiece, this is the groundbreaking novel that placed Walker “in the company of Faulkner” (The Nation), and remains a wrenching—yet intensely uplifting—experience for new generations of readers.

This ebook features a new introduction written by the author on the twenty-fifth anniversary of publication, and an illustrated biography of Alice Walker including rare photos from the author’s personal collection.

The Color Purple is the 1st book in the Color Purple Collection, which also includes The Temple of My Familiar and Possessing the Secret of Joy.

The Color Purple The novel, The Color Purple, is about the main character, Celie, and her sister Nettie. Some other characters are Celie and Nettie’s stepfather, Celie’s husband, and Celie’s lover, Shug. It uses detailed imagery to paint a picture of all of the characters, their physical and emotional attributes. The main theme throughout the novel is how people of certain races and genders are mistreated throughout the era of the 1940s. The main character, Celie, is abused by her stepfather, verbally and physically. It shows her struggle from being stuck in his clutches, to becoming her own person, and earning her independence. She discovers things about herself, and discovers things about other people, and what they mean to her in certain aspects of her life. My favorite character was Celie, this is because the reader can see the progress she makes over the course of the book, and I think the strength that she finds within herself is inspiring and encouraging. I relate to Celie, and all the other characters in the book that have been mistreated, or abused. This is because I empathize for them, and I have had friends that have been mistreated, and I understand how it affects a person's well being, and besides that, their self esteem. I loved the book, I loved the type of insight it gave into an aspect of life that no other author really covers. My favorite part of this book was the part where Celie begins to realize that she is worth more than what she is being given. Through the support of her lover, Shug, she gains self-confidence and realizes that she did not deserve the horrible treatment that she received throughout her entire life. She had to withstand being molested by her step-father, basically being held captive by him, and then in a sense, he “sold” her to the man he thought would need her housekeeping skills the most. She constantly had to go through only being thought of as a piece of meat, and property, almost the maid of every house she walked into. The only thing I would change about this book would be the beginning of the exchange of letters between Nettie and Celie, the first section where it is just about 20 pages of Nettie’s letters to Celie are a bit hard to grasp and get interested in enough to get through that section. Although I am happy I did, because past that, the book was amazing! I read about what was happening in the African village that nettie was in, but also got to see what was happening in Celie’s life. I would definitely recommend this book to any of my friends, it has a great insight on the lives of black women in the 1940s, and unique.Wow - This is epic, biblical, powerful, and finally beautiful with strong characters who realistically transform The book discussion group met in March 2017 to enthusiastically discuss this. Wow, we loved this book. Most of us had seen the movie at some point in the past (and a few of us had seen the Oprah-produced Broadway musical), but it turns out this is a favorite book of a few members of the group and everybody liked it lot. We rarely get this kind of universal praise for a book, so you know that if you didn't read it for group, you should still definitely put it on your list of books to read. Most of us agreed that the language is tough and off-putting for the first few letters, but you both get used to the odd spellings and grammar and also the writing gets better at Celie writes more. After eight or ten letters, it all seems pretty normal. The violence and cruelty is also tough and off-putting in the first part of the book but again, it gets less violent and you get used to it (what a horrifying thought!) as the novel continues. The words that readers used to describe the events and language in the novel are "epic," "biblical," "powerful," and finally "beautiful."The story seems huge and the family tree is complicated with parents, step-parents, unacknowledged parents, forced marriages, lovers and mistresses, as well as two dead unnamed mothers. But the major characters are clearly defined and change during the novel and, unlike many novels, the changes are clearly explained and well motivated by events in the novel.Celie is so desperate to be loved that she loves everyone else without thinking of herself. The men are largely evil (this is probably a valid criticism of the novel) who are forced to learn and change by the strong and far more admirable women who shape them.We enjoyed discussing butch and femme women (as well as the stupidly masculine men as compared to the loving and generous men), the open lesbianism, and the alternate Christian theology presented largely by the openly sexual Shug.I thought that the African letters from Nettie were a bit dry and anthropological compared to Celie's personal and emotive letters. And a few of the readers thought that the ending was perhaps too happy with everyone turning out to be a better, more evolved character. But these are quibbles compared to the well-drawn characters, the wide scope, the emotional fulfillment, and the positive changes that most of the characters undergo.
